Native | clay mask
A purifying clay mask that gives a deep invigorating and exfoliating cleanse. Note: Once the mask is hydrated, it will turn into a beautiful terra-cotta red color. Read below to find out why clay is exceptional product for cleansing and decongesting the skin.
KAOLIN CLAY: Kaolin Clay: Pure, unrefined. The mildest of all clays and is suitable for people with sensitive skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing. It does not draw oils from the skin, so it can be used on dry skin types without negative results. Quarry mined from naturally occurring deposits and is water washed. Clay has an incredible ability to draw out impurities from the skin - it’s negative charge acts as a magnet that draws and binds positively charged particles into it. (All impurities in the body are positively charged) Note: because of this powerful drawing effect, some may notice their skin looks more congested after using a clay mask for the first time. This is just the impurities being drawn to the surface. If this is the case for you, I suggest gently exfoliating with baking soda to slough off the impurities that have risen to the surface. Using the mask once a day during this period of cleansing is a good idea.
HIBISCUS: Wild flower powder. Hibiscus contains naturally occurring acids which helps to purify the skin by breaking down dead skin and increasing cell turnover. It has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat redness and inflammation from eczema and other skin conditions. It can help increase skin elasticity, combats the aging process by firming and lifting the skin, and it is rich in antioxidants which are proven to help fight skin damaging free radicals.
ROSEHIP: Rose hips develop on wild roses as the flowers drop off. The rose hip is the fruit of the rose. These fruits are one of the most concentrated sources of vitamin C available. Rosehip promotes skin regeneration, and can improve skin flexibility and permeability. Reduces skin texture and the appearance of acne scars and hyper pigmentation.
TURMERIC: The powerhouse of turmeric is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory called curcumin. The benefits for skin include brightening, and improved skin complexion. It rejuvenates dull-looking skin, and is a natural antiseptic to keep the bacteria from spreading, but it’s anti-inflammatory, which takes down the redness and swelling of the blemish
